Things to do in Nottingham this week: Craft & Flea Market, a Murder Mystery and a New Place to Stuff Your Face!

Morning Nottingham! A brand new spot in Hurts Yard is serving stacked sandwiches and cocktails, Craft & Flea is filling St Mary’s with handmade treasures, Cosy Club is mixing dinner with a murder mystery, and there’s a paint night that gets more creative with every glass of wine. Add markets, books, puppy cuddles and even an emo fest. Busy week, no excuses.

🗓️ WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS WEEK?

🧶 - Craft & Flea Makers Market - Prints - Candles - Stuff You’ll Pretend is a Gift but Keep
📍 - St Mary’s Church
📅 - Saturday 20th September
⏰ - 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
🎟️ - £3 (under 12s free)
📸 - @thecraftandflea

St Mary’s Church is turning into a treasure trove of handmade and vintage finds as Craft & Flea takes over for the day. Stalls will be stacked with ceramics, jewellery, candles, prints and those curious old bits you only realise you wanted once they’re in your hand. This is not your run-of-the-mill craft fair either, as every stall is carefully picked so only the best makers and collectors make it through the door. Bring a tenner, lose an hour, and head home with a bag of “essentials” you didn’t plan on buying.

🍔 SCRUMPTIOUS SCOOP

🍔 - Local Nottingham - Sandos, Cocktails and Late Nights That Hit Different
📍 - Hurts Yard
📅 - Open Wednesday to Saturday, 5:00 PM - 12:00 AM
📸 - @local__notts

There’s a new spot in town serving food that makes you stare at the menu longer than you should.

Local has landed in Hurts Yard with sandos stacked high, katsu pork dripping with flavour, Korean fried chicken bringing all the crunch, and cheese melts that are impossible to ignore. Fries are cooked three times till they snap, sides vanish as soon as they hit the table, and cocktails light up the night with colour and kick.

Plan for one drink, end up staying until close with sauce on your shirt and a grin you can’t shift.

Eat Well. Drink Easy. Stay Local

🎭 ACTIVITY ALLEY

📸 - @cosyclub_nottingham

Cosy Club is serving cocktails with a side of crime at its Phantom Fatality Murder Mystery Dinner. You’ll be swept into the haunting tale of the Garden Estate, complete with tragedy, suspicious characters and twists to keep you guessing. While you’re working out whodunnit, there’s a three-course feast and a welcome drink to keep your detective skills sharp. Fancy dress is optional, but leaning into the drama makes it even more fun.

🎭 FRESH EXPERIENCES

🎨 - Paint Night: Sunset Sailboats - Brushes - Wine - Creative Chaos
📍 - Pitcher & Piano, High Pavement
📅 - Wednesday 17th September
⏰ - 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM

Pitcher & Piano is swapping cocktails for canvases as The Paint Club takes over for a night of colour and wine. You’ll be guided step by step to create your own sunset sailboat masterpiece, though how it turns out depends on your brush skills and how many glasses you’ve had. It’s laid-back, sociable and the perfect excuse to unleash your inner artist without anyone marking it out of ten.
