Morning, Nottingham! It’s a big one: Hucknall Fest lands with live music, a funfair, and enough food stalls to sideline your meal prep for a week. Over in Sneinton, it’s dragon masks, Viking reenactments, and a glitter station your kids will refuse to leave.

There’s park yoga for two quid at Wollaton, retro gaming and parades at the farm, and a posh dinner option if you’re feeling fancy in Mapperley.

Hucknall Fest is back, and it’s bringing big energy to Titchfield Park with live music all day, a full-blown funfair, and food stalls for every craving. The headline tribute? Courtnay Reddy channeling Avril Lavigne so hard you’ll start looking for your old studded belt. There’s also a market village for a mid-gig browse and enough snacks to ruin your dinner plans.

Mapperley’s finally got a spot that knows its burrata from its elbow. Alora serves up slick, global plates with posh presentation and an AA Rosette to back it. It’s giving “dinner with someone you want to impress” energy, moody lighting, posh cocktails you can’t pronounce. Hit it for Sunday lunch or smug midweek date points. Just don’t rock up Monday or Tuesday they’ll be closed, and you'll be hungry and sad..

Parades, Viking reenactments, face paint, retro gaming, and more cake than a toddler’s birthday buffet. Sneinton Festival returns with a full-on day of dragon costumes, music, crafts, and friendly madness at the farm. Dress like a dragon, eat like a cake judge, and try not to lose the kids in the glitter station. It’s free entry! Good luck getting them to leave.
