La Fleur has just opened on Bridlesmith Gate and it is leaning fully into the “quick coffee” plan that turns into a sit down. You have got coffee, fresh herbal teas, cakes that make you suddenly forget lunch existed, and a toastie menu that is doing the most in a good way, with chicken tikka and falafel and hummus leading the shout.
Independent, working with local suppliers, and perfectly placed for a mid shop pit stop or a city centre catch up that does not need booking.

Peter Bleksley is a former Scotland Yard undercover detective who spent years living a double life inside criminal gangs, and this is him lifting the lid on what that really looks like. Stories cover infiltrations, murder investigations, and the moment it flipped from chasing criminals to being the target of a murder plot himself. It runs in two parts with an interval.
