Things to do this week: Cardmania, Beat The Streets, And A Strelley Hall Ghost Hunt!

Morning! This week is a tidy mix of daytime plans and late nights. Cardmania lands on Saturday for Pokemon trading and card shopping, Beat The Streets takes over Sunday for a city wide gig crawl supporting Framework, and Strelley Hall runs a ghost hunt on Saturday night that goes right through to 2:00 AM.

This weekend’s highlights:

  • Cardmania on Saturday for Pokemon swaps, cosplay, and the Spin The Wheel temptation

  • Beat The Streets on Sunday for a city wide gig crawl supporting Framework

  • Strelley Hall Ghost Hunt on Saturday night for the “I’m not going in there” moment

WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS WEEK?

🃏 - Cardmania Nottingham - Thousands Of Cards, Trading Zone, And A Spin The Wheel Temptation
📍 - Harvey Hadden Sports Village
📅 - Sat 24th January
⏰ - Early Bird entry from 10:00 AM (standard entry time depends on your ticket)
🎟️ - From £9
📷 - @cardmaniaevents

This is basically a giant room full of people saying “just one more pack” with their whole chest. Dozens of vendors, stacks of cards everywhere, and a Trading Zone built for Pokemon swaps and dramatic reactions when someone finally offers the one card you have been chasing. There is also a Spin The Wheel setup with prizes like graded cards and merch, plus cosplay and photo moments and plenty of collectibles that keep kids busy while adults pretend it is all “for them”.

SCRUMPTIOUS SCOOP

- Butler’s Coffee House - Pancakes With A Side Of “Go On Then”
📍 - 7a Union Street, Bingham
📅 - Mon to Fri 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
📅 - Sat 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM
📅 - Sun 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
📷 - @butlerscoffeehouse

This is the original Butler’s inside a Grade II listed former butcher’s shop, so the bacon and sausage options feel suspiciously appropriate. Brunch covers all the big decisions: breakfast burritos, baked eggs including shakshuka, smashed avocado on sourdough, and pancakes that can swing sweet with berries or go full bacon and maple. Vegan options are on the menu too!

ACTIVITY ALLEY

🎸 - Beat The Streets 2026 - A City Wide Gig Crawl That Helps People Too
📍 - Various Venues
📅 - Sun 25th January to Mon 26th January
⏰ - Doors 1:00 PM (finishes 1:00 AM)
🎟️ - Donation tickets from £15 (recommended £20)
📷 - @alttickets

Beat The Streets turns a Sunday into a full on venue hop, with loads of artists across the day and night and all ticket money going to Framework to support people facing homelessness. Pick your donation level, build your own schedule, and bounce between sets depending on who you fancy.

FRESH EXPERIENCES

👻 - Strelley Hall Ghost Hunt - The “I’m Not Going In There” Moment
📍 - Strelley Hall
📅 - Sat 24th January
⏰ - 9:00 PM to 2:00 AM (arrive 8:45 PM)
🎟️ - £40
📷 - @officialhauntedmoments_hmp

Strelley Hall dates back to the 1200s, and this is a late night ghost hunt inside the building with the Haunted Moments Paranormal team leading the session. You will try a mix of modern kit and old school methods, moving through the spaces and seeing what, if anything, decides to show up.
