Things to do this week: Nottingham Light Night, An Emo Day Party, And a Murder Mystery Coach Trip!

Morning! February is turning the lights back on, literally. Light Night takes over Friday and Saturday with glowing installations and surprise bits dotted all over the city centre, so it is an easy excuse to get out and wander without needing a big plan.

Around that, the week has a few solid side quests: a vintage clothing sale for anyone who loves a browse, James Arthur if you fancy a big singalong crowd, plus an early doors emo day party for people who want their throwback tunes finished by 8.

Kinu leans into low lighting, deep tones, and gold accents, so it feels instantly special before the first bite lands. Service is paced so courses arrive in a clean rhythm, and the whole place is set up for lingering over food and conversation without feeling rushed. Solid shout for date night, birthdays, or anyone bored of loud places that treat dinner like a timed challenge

Elder Emo Day Party is four hours of emo and pop punk anthems, band tees encouraged, eyeliner optional but respected. It is all the big chorus stuff, My Chemical Romance, Paramore, Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, Avril Lavigne, Blink 182 and more, with a crowd that knows every word and sings like it is still 2007.

Club Wormhole is doing a themed comedy night set on a National Express coach, except someone has been murdered and the hosts are playing detective. You get alt comedy, character bits, clowning, songs, and a general sense that anything could happen.
