Things to do this week: Party Night at the Races, a Vintage Kilo Sale and a Free Food and Home Fair!

Morning! Evening racing at Nottingham Racecourse on Saturday with seven races, live music and tickets from £14. Under 18s get in free, which is either a generous gesture or a very good way to fill a racecourse.

Also this week, a vintage kilo sale in a church on Saturday where you pay £20 a kilo for your haul, and a free food and home fair at Nottingham Contemporary across the whole weekend with over 40 independent stalls. Both on the same day, which is ambitious but doable.

A family-run chocolatier on Friar Lane that's been making everything by hand since 2004. Over fifty varieties of fresh chocolate in the display cabinet, all made in the kitchen below the shop. Miso caramels, chilli, praline, a Thai version with lemongrass, lime, coconut, rum and chilli, and about forty-seven other reasons to go in.

You can fill a bag and pay by weight at £7.20 per 100g, or go for a box if you're buying for someone else and want it to look like you planned it. Hot chocolates and coffees available to drink in or take away.

Over 40 stalls across three days, covering artisan food and drink, ceramics, candles, textiles, floristry, soaps and more. Friday evening is a launch night with the bar open until 9pm, which is either a good reason to go on Friday or a very good reason to avoid it if you're trying to be sensible.

Stewarts Coffee Roasters are in, Lenton Lane Brewery too, plus a rum distillery, a macaron maker and someone doing origami. Free entry the whole weekend.
