Glass & Co is a new restaurant in Beeston, and it’s arriving with a menu that’s got standards. Modern British with an Italian lean, run by chefs with fine dining backgrounds, but without any stiff energy.

Oysters and beef tartare if you want to show off, crab tagliolini or beef shin ragù if you want comfort, then steak when you’re going all in. End with tiramisu and try to act like you didn’t plan your whole week around it.

Bad Betty Press is hosting a live mix of poetry and music at NAE, with performers who can actually hold a room. You’ll get big lines, funny bits, sharp bits, and the occasional moment where you sit there like “alright, that hit”. It’s BSL interpreted, part of NAE’s Friday Night Socials, and there’s food on site too, so it works as an easy Friday plan.
