Things to do this week: The Nottingham Green Festival and a brand new restaurant on the way!
Morning Nottingham! Samosas, sticky toffee pudding and even a spot of spoon whittling are on the cards this week.
The Arboretum is going green with live bands and vegan treats, and a brand new brasserie is about to open its doors in the city centre.
The Ivy is moving in with cocktails and puddings that are far too good to share. Add in farmers’ markets, coffee mornings, comedy and more, and you’ve got no excuse to sit at home staring at the kettle.
Are you looking to get in front of 5,000+ Nottingham locals?

📍 - Bridlesmith Gate
📅 - Opening Autumn 2025
📸 - @the_ivy_collection
The Ivy is about to take over the old Hugo Boss store on Bridlesmith Gate, swapping sharp suits for sharp cocktails. Doors open this autumn with velvet chairs, floral cushions and the kind of menu that makes you forget you promised yourself “just a light bite”. Breakfast will slide into brunch, dinners will flow into late-night drinks and desserts are far too tempting to pretend you’re sharing. With 118 seats, a terrace for alfresco show-offs and two private dining rooms for those moments you want to impress, it’s London luxury served up in the middle of Nottingham.

Once you’ve got your plate sorted, there is live Bollywood music, dancers in glittering outfits and workshops to keep the energy high. Book your tickets early and it will cost less than a supermarket lunch. Leave it too late and you will be paying more, if there are even tickets left.
