Morning! Half term is here, so it’s all about plans that keep the kids busy and the adults sane. Saturday’s got the plant based market at Sneinton for an easy wander and plenty of food, plus the record fair for a crate dig. And if you’re in full half term mode, there’s loads on for kids across the week too, so you’re not stuck doing laps of the living room for entertainment.

BrokenRice is open daily and very good at pulling you from “I’ll keep it light” to “add the wings as well”. Start with spring rolls or summer rolls, then go big on pho with that slow simmered broth, or bun bo Hue if you like a bit more kick. The broken rice grill is the house move, especially with lemongrass pork or a fried egg on top, and the coconut curry is an easy win if you want comfort without any fuss.
